This was an amazing opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the Interface way of doing business, and to experience first hand the InterfaceRaise Cultural Immersion program.
It was also an opportunity for us to expand our network of contacts in Europe, learn from what others are doing and share views and experiences of how businesses are benefitting from sustainability across the world.
The InterfaceRaise Cultural Immersion program provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from Interface experts who have applied and who continue to apply effective and profitable sustainability strategies in Interface’s operations. Interface executives shared the operational realities of and the business case behind InterfaceFLOR’s commitment to ‘doing business in a way that protects and enhances the environmental, social, and economic fabric of out world’ and achieving of their goal of ‘MissionZero’
This Cultural Immersion program has been offered all over the world in an effort by Interface to demonstrate that sustainability in business is not only possible but is extremely profitable. Recently executives from the world largest retailer Walmartwent through the program, inspiring them to set ambitious sustainability targetsand acknowledge that ‘Sustainability is the biggest opportunity of the 21st century’ Lee Scott, CEO Walmart.
The program also included a tour of the production facility, a visit to the factory floor, and a opportunity to view some of the most cutting edge sustainability initiatives pioneered by Interface.
